The call ”Conservación ambiental y resiliencia comunitaria 2021” (Environmental Conservation and community resilience 2021) of the El Triunfo Conservation Foundation and the FONCET A.C., was carried out from April 30th to May 30th, 2021,  we had the registration of 9 proposals from 8 organizations that proposed projects to be implemented in the Selva El Ocote Biosphere Reserve, El Triunfo, La Encrucijada and La Frailescana Natural Resources Protected Area (APRN).

After a selection process by examiners external to the institution, two proposals were selected to receive funding:

1. Strengthening of the actions of biological monitoring and community surveillance in the Selva El Ocote Biosphere Reserve, presented by Nimalarí Ecocultura Sustentable A.C.

2. Community monitoring and surveillance for the socio-environmental resilience in the La Frailescana APRN, presented by Cooperativa AMBIO S.C. of R.L.

These projects have as their objective to reduce the social, environmental and economic vulnerability of the communities in the Protected Natural Areas to prevent risks, adapt, and increase their resilience.
